Overview:
A leading commercial practice is seeking a Solicitor to join its Insolvency & Restructuring team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer – whether already in restructuring or coming from a banking/finance background – to develop specialist skills in non-contentious restructuring while working closely with an experienced partner on high-value matters.
Role Requirements:
– Supporting non-contentious restructuring work including group reorganisations, refinancings, debt restructuring and business/asset sales
– Assisting on formal insolvency processes and advising lenders, corporates and insolvency practitioners
– Drafting and negotiating transactional documentation
– Coordinating with colleagues across banking, corporate, real estate, tax and employment
– Building client relationships and contributing to business development activity
Experience:
– Minimum 1 years’ experience in restructuring, banking or a related transactional area
– Interest in developing technical expertise in non-contentious restructuring
– Comfortable managing workstreams with guidance from senior colleagues
– Experience advising lenders or insolvency practitioners is helpful but not essential
Skills:
– Clear communicator with good drafting skills
– Organised, proactive and eager to build specialist knowledge
– Commercial approach with willingness to collaborate across teams
– Confident managing competing priorities and deadlines
