The role
As an Insolvency & Restructuring Solicitor based in Glasgow, you’ll work directly alongside an experienced partner on a broad range of non-contentious restructuring matters, with real scope to develop technical depth and take on increasing responsibility over time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting non-contentious restructuring work including group reorganisations, refinancings, debt restructuring and business and asset sales
Assisting on formal insolvency processes and advising lenders, corporates and insolvency practitioners
Drafting and negotiating transactional documentation
Coordinating with colleagues across banking, corporate, real estate, tax and employment
Building client relationships and contributing to business development activity
Managing workstreams with guidance from senior colleagues
About you
This role would suit a Solicitor who:
Has 2+ years’ PQE in restructuring, banking or a related transactional area
Has an interest in developing technical expertise in non-contentious restructuring
Communicates clearly and has solid drafting skills
Takes an organised, proactive approach and manages competing priorities effectively
Brings a commercial mindset and is comfortable collaborating across teams
Has experience advising lenders or insolvency practitioners — useful but not essential
