Job Description

Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a solicitor to join a highly regarded Casualty Defence team in Glasgow. This award-winning practice advises insurers, insureds and local authorities on a wide range of defender work, including EL/PL, disease, motor and fraud claims. You will gain early responsibility for your own caseload while assisting on high-value and complex matters.

Role Requirements:

Experience:

• 1–3 YRS PQE with exposure to defender personal injury work
• Handle your own portfolio of pre-litigated and litigated EL/PL, disease and motor/fraud claims
• Conduct liability investigations and liaise directly with clients, witnesses, opponents and the courts
• Support Partners and senior colleagues on larger and more complex claims

Skills:
• Knowledge of Court of Session and Sheriff Court procedures is advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational ability
• Teamwork skills alongside the capability to work independently
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail under pressure
