Senior Private Client Solicitor/Legal Director sought for an established Edinburgh firm. Manage a varied caseload across wills, executries and estate planning while joining a supportive team with strong progression opportunities.

Job Description

A well-established Edinburgh law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor/Legal Director to join its respected private client team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload while playing a key part in the continued growth of the department.

The Role

You will advise individuals and families across a broad range of private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney and executries. The team also handles trusts, estate planning and related advisory work.

The position offers a high degree of autonomy, with the opportunity to build strong client relationships while contributing to the ongoing development of the team.

About You

  • Have around 10+ years’ PQE in private client law

  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across wills, executries and estate planning

  • Be confident working directly with clients and providing clear, practical advice

  • Ideally hold STEP qualification, or be willing to undertake it
