Overview:
A leading insurance-focused practice is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join its Property & Liability team. You will handle a varied caseload of high-value property damage, liability and recovery matters, advising major insurer and commercial clients. This role offers complex, high-profile work, close collaboration with colleagues across the wider network and the chance to support the continued growth of a busy and respected team.
Role Requirements:
Managing a diverse caseload of property damage, liability and subrogated recovery claims
Advising insurer and corporate clients on coverage, quantum and strategy
Drafting and negotiating legal documents and progressing matters efficiently
Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees
Leading client relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery
Supporting business development through training, presentations and client engagement
Working with colleagues across multiple offices to deliver integrated solutions
Staying updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments
Experience:
5+ PQE and admitted as a Solicitor in Scotland
Experience acting for insurers, reinsurers or large commercial clients
Ability to manage complex, high-volume claims work with minimal supervision
Experience overseeing junior colleagues is beneficial
Skills:
Clear communicator with confident oral and written skills
Analytical and solutions-focused approach
Organised and able to balance competing deadlines
Collaborative working style with a client-centred mindset
Able to build long-term relationships and contribute to team growth
