Overview
A fantastic opportunity to join a specialist legal practice with a growing presence in Scotland. The firm’s Professional Indemnity team is recognised UK-wide for its expertise and works with a leading portfolio of major insurers on complex, high-value matters involving solicitors, accountants, IFAs, surveyors, architects, engineers, and construction professionals.
This role is suited to a senior lawyer who enjoys engaging with technical issues, resolving intricate liability and coverage questions and working collaboratively with insurers and professional clients. You’ll join a well-resourced, supportive team, supervise junior colleagues, contribute to team development, and gain exposure to substantial, high-quality work.
Experience
8+ years’ PQE (applications from 5+ PQE candidates with solid litigation experience welcomed)
Experience in litigation, commercial disputes, insurance, or professional indemnity
Confident managing complex claims from start to finish, advising on strategy and coverage
Skills
Excellent analytical and drafting ability with attention to detail
Skilled in building positive relationships with senior professionals, clients and insurers
Capable of supervising, supporting and developing junior team members while handling your own caseload
Commercially aware with an interest in contributing to business development initiatives
