Job Description

A well-regarded Scottish firm is looking to appoint a private client solicitor to join its Edinburgh-based team. This is a strong opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on high-quality private client matters, with a particular focus on family office and landed estate clients.

The role covers a broad spread of private client work, including wills and powers of attorney, succession, asset protection and tax planning. You will also gain exposure to trusts, executry administration and the ongoing management of complex, long-standing client relationships.

This is a client-facing role for someone who enjoys trusted adviser work and clear, practical problem-solving. You’ll join a supportive, collaborative team with a strong focus on mentoring, knowledge sharing and innovation, alongside support towards STEP qualification.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be Scots law qualified with NQ-4 years’ PQE
• Have a genuine interest in private client and succession work
• Demonstrate strong client care and communication skills
• Take a proactive, organised and detail-focused approach
• Enjoy working collaboratively within a close-knit team
