Overview:
An established and growing firm in Glasgow is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied and often complex caseload while working closely with an experienced Partner. The role suits someone with case handling experience who wants to develop professionally in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Role Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 1-year PQE in a Private Client or estate team
Handling testate and intestate estates, including exposure to Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains and Income Tax matters
Comfortable managing cases from start to finish with support from colleagues
Experience working collaboratively with other fee-earners and administrators
Skills:
Technical knowledge of estate administration
Excellent organisational and caseload management abilities
Clear, empathetic communication with clients and colleagues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive, “can do” attitude
Desirable but not essential:
STEP qualification
Dual qualification in Scottish and English law
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a personal caseload with guidance from Partners and Associates
Meet clients in person, by phone and via video calls
Work alongside colleagues to ensure smooth case progression
Refer work to other departments when appropriate to enhance client service
Support business development initiatives and contribute to team growth
