Looking to build a specialist career in contentious private client work? This is an opportunity to join a well-established independent Scottish law firm in Edinburgh and take ownership of a varied caseload, working on complex and sensitive matters involving wills, trusts, executries, estates and succession disputes.

The role would suit a Scottish qualified solicitor with 2-8 years' PQE who is keen to develop their expertise, work closely with clients and play an active role in the continued growth of a specialist private client practice.

The Role

• Manage a varied caseload involving wills, trusts, executries, estates and succession disputes
• Advise clients on complex and sensitive private client matters
• Conduct litigation and attend court as required
• Provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice
• Work directly with clients, counsel and other professional advisers
• Progress matters independently and contribute to the growth of the firm's contentious private client practice

About You

• Scottish qualified solicitor with 2-8 years' PQE
• Strong experience in contentious private client work and litigation
• Good knowledge of Scottish succession, trusts, executries and estate law
• Confident managing a caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong client-facing, communication and relationship-building skills
• Professional, personable and proactive approach
• Keen to build a long-term career within a growing private client team
