Private Client Solicitor (2-4 years')

Job Description

A leading UK law firm seeking a private client solicitor (2-4 years') to join its growing English Private Client team, based in Edinburgh with remote working available. This is an excellent opportunity for an England & Wales qualified solicitor, or a Scots qualified solicitor interested in dual qualification, to build a specialist private client career within a highly respected team.

The Role

This position offers exposure to high-quality, often complex private client work, including cross-border matters and advising high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced colleagues across multiple practice areas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting wills and powers of attorney
• Advising on estate and succession planning
• Trust creation, administration, and winding up
• Supporting tax planning advice alongside specialist colleagues
• Advising high-net-worth and internationally connected clients
• Managing client relationships and contributing to business development
• Collaborating with colleagues across tax, family, corporate, litigation, and property teams

The ideal candidate: 

• England & Wales qualified, dual qualified, or Scots qualified with interest in dual qualification
• 2-4 years’ PQE in private client / personal law
• Experienced in wills, trusts, and estate administration
• Commercially aware with strong client relationship skills
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage their own workload

STEP qualification is desirable but not essential.
