Overview
A growing and ambitious Private Client team is seeking a Legal Director or Partner to play a leading role in advising high-net-worth individuals, families and trustees on complex and high-value matters. This is a strategic position with significant scope to shape the team’s growth, develop client relationships at the highest level and contribute to the long-term direction of the practice.
Role Responsibilities
– Leading on complex wills, trusts, estates, succession planning, inheritance tax, powers of attorney and broader wealth management matters
– Acting as a key adviser to HNW and UHNW clients, families and trustees
– Managing and supervising high-value and technically challenging estates
– Driving business development, client acquisition and profile-building for the department
– Providing leadership, mentoring and guidance to colleagues at all levels
– Playing an active role in process improvement, operational efficiency and strategic team development
Experience Required
– Extensive experience in private client work, including complex estates, trusts, tax and wealth planning
– STEP qualification (or extensive equivalent experience at senior level)
– Track record of managing client relationships independently and acting as a trusted adviser
– Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring or managing a team
– Demonstrable ability to contribute to or lead business development initiatives
– A commercial mindset, with interest in helping shape the direction of the practice
