Job Description

A busy and well-respected Personal Injury team in Edinburgh is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate part-time solicitor (min 3 days) to join their pursuer Personal Injury team. The role offers a mix of office and home working, with a supportive team environment and the chance to manage a varied case load.

The successful candidate will handle their own litigated and non-litigated personal injury and insurance cases, providing clear and strategic advice to clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting legal documents and taking statements
  • Gathering and assessing evidence
  • Coordinating expert witnesses and instructing counsel
  • Conducting advocacy in Sheriff Court hearingsSup
  • porting junior team members and assisting with training
  • Contributing to business development and strategic planning

Experience & Skills

Applicants should have experience handling RTA, public liability, and occupier liability claims from CPAP through to Proof. Clinical negligence experience is desirable, but not essential. Strong advocacy experience in litigated personal injury cases, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are key. A compassionate, client-focused approach and genuine interest in personal injury law are essential.
