Personal Injury/Litigation Solicitor (1-3 years')

Job Description

A leading Scottish law firm is looking to appoint a personal injury/litigaiton solicitor to join its busy Dispute Resolution team in Edinburgh. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in defender litigation, insurance litigation or liability claims who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and highly regarded practice.

The Opportunity

You will manage your own caseload while working alongside experienced colleagues on a varied range of matters. The role will provide exposure to both contentious and advisory work, with the opportunity to develop your technical expertise and client relationships.

Your work may include:

• Liability and insurance-related disputes
• Employer’s and public liability claims
• Motor claims
• Industrial disease matters
• Clinical negligence
• Sheriff Court and Court of Session litigation
• Pre-action and advisory work
• Assisting with more complex and high-value matters

There will also be opportunities to contribute to client development and wider team initiatives.

About You

You will ideally have:

• 1–3 years’ PQE with experience in defender litigation, insurance litigation or liability claims
• Strong drafting and case management skills
• Experience managing your own caseload and working to court and client deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A practical, commercial and client-focused approach
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
• A genuine interest in developing your career within Dispute Resolution
