Personal Injury (Disease) Solicitor

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personal injury solicitor or experienced to join a leading national firm’s specialist Disease team in Edinburgh.

Working with major insurer and corporate clients, this role offers exposure to complex, high-impact litigation across a wide spectrum of occupational disease claims - including NIHL, HAVS, asbestos-related, and other matters. You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team known for its technical excellence and practical, commercial approach.

Key responsibilities: 

• Managing a varied caseload of defender disease claims from inception to resolution.
• Supporting senior lawyers on complex and strategic litigation.
• Drafting pleadings, statements, and instructions to counsel and experts.
• Liaising with clients and witnesses to deliver exceptional service.Contr
• ibuting to business development and knowledge sharing within the team.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Experience in defender disease or personal injury litigation.
• A background in acting for insurers or corporate clients.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset and enthusiasm for career development in defender litigation.
