Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious pensions lawyer to join a highly regarded and growing Pensions team, ranked among the top in the UK. Based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, this role offers exposure to high-quality work, market-leading clients, and a supportive, collaborative environment.

The team advises a diverse client base, including pension fund trustees, corporates, public authorities, insurers, and financial institutions. Work is wide-ranging, spanning technical pensions law advice, scheme management, pensions disputes, and investment matters, with opportunities to be involved in innovative projects such as infrastructure investment and regulatory change.

The successful candidate will: 

• Be newly qualified or have up to 5 years’ PQE, ideally with prior pensions experience or a strong interest in this area
• Demonstrate strong technical ability, sound commercial judgment, and excellent attention to detail
• Be a team player with the interpersonal skills to develop lasting client and colleague relationships
• Have enthusiasm for business development and market engagement, including training sessions, networking, and client-facing activities.
