A highly regarded Scottish pensions team that is looking to appoint a senior associate to support its continued growth in Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognised practice with a strong market profile and a broad, high-quality client base.

The team advises across the full spectrum of pensions law, including complex advisory work, transactional support, regulatory matters and disputes. Its work spans trustees, sponsors, insurers, public bodies and financial institutions, offering exposure to both traditional pensions issues and evolving areas such as investment strategy and infrastructure-related matters.

The role is genuinely varied. Alongside technical pensions advice, the successful candidate will be involved in client-facing activity, internal collaboration across offices, and wider market engagement. The team is structured to allow lawyers to build depth in particular areas while maintaining a broad practice, supporting both professional development and long-term career progression.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE in pensions law
• Have experience gained within a large regional or City-style practice
• Be technically confident, with strong commercial judgement
• Enjoy collaborative working and building trusted internal relationships
• Be comfortable engaging with clients and contributing to business development activity
