NQ Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor

Job Description

A leading Scottish firm is seeking an NQ solicitor to join its highly regarded Non-Contentious Construction team, based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent, full-time role offering the chance to work on a variety of high-profile projects across the UK.

The Role
The successful candidate will support clients on the construction aspects of major property developments and regeneration projects, including development agreements, building contracts, bonds and guarantees, and professional appointments. The team also advises on significant engineering and infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy sector, such as onshore wind, hydro, battery storage, solar, and tidal/wave projects. Clients include developers, contractors, public sector bodies, funders, and consultants.

About You

• Newly qualified solicitor/trainee solicitor qualifying in 2025 with some experience in non-contentious construction
• Strong drafting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Well-organised, with the ability to manage deadlines and work effectively as part of a team
• Commercially aware, with an interest in property development and energy sector projects
• Motivated to continue learning and developing expertise in construction law
