Overview:
A leading commercial practice is seeking a Solicitor or Associate with 4+ years’ experience in non-contentious construction to join its expanding team. The role involves advising on major development projects, regeneration schemes and engineering matters – particularly in the energy sector. You’ll work with developers, contractors, funders, consultants and public-sector bodies on high-value, UK-wide projects.
Role Requirements:
Advising on construction aspects of property developments, including building contracts, appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees
Supporting significant engineering and energy projects across onshore wind, hydro, battery storage, solar and other technologies
Drafting and negotiating a variety of construction documents
Providing clear technical guidance to colleagues and clients
Managing project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements
Attending meetings, progressing matters efficiently and maintaining up-to-date knowledge
Contributing to business development, client relationships and market awareness
Supervising junior team members and supporting knowledge sharing
Experience:
4+ years’ PQE in non-contentious construction work
Experience advising developers, funders, contractors or consultants
Confident handling complex documentation with minimal supervision
Demonstrated involvement in major development or energy-related projects
Skills:
Clear communicator with excellent drafting skills
Organised, commercially aware and capable of managing deadlines
Collaborative team member with leadership potential
Analytical, proactive and able to provide practical solutions
