Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor (3+ years')

Job Description

An international law firm is seeking a senior solicitor to join its expanding Non-Contentious Construction team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

This is an opportunity to work on ambitious UK and cross-border development, infrastructure and energy projects. The team advises on high-value schemes across the retail, housing, student accommodation, hospitality, regeneration and infrastructure sectors, supporting major real estate, corporate and finance transactions.

The Role

You will:

• Advise on transactional (non-contentious) construction matters
• Provide pre-contract procurement advice
• Draft and negotiate building contracts, professional appointments and associated documentation
• Deliver project advisory support to national and international clients
• Work closely with real estate, corporate, planning and finance colleagues
• Build strong client relationships and provide commercially focused advice

The work is varied, collaborative and often high-profile, offering genuine frontline exposure.

About You

• Solid experience in non-contentious construction law
• Confident drafting and negotiating construction documentation
• Commercially aware and solution-focused
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Interested in developing client relationships and contributing to business growth
