Job Description

A leading international law firm is seeking a non-contentious construction lawyer (2-8 years') to join its growing team in Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to work on major UK and international projects while developing deep sector expertise within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

The Opportunity

The role offers exposure to a wide range of high-profile projects across real estate development, energy, infrastructure and transport. The successful candidate will advise a diverse client base including developers, project companies, funders, contractors and suppliers.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Run matters with an appropriate level of autonomy
  • Take ownership of client relationships
  • Work as part of multi-office teams on large-scale, complex transactions

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters
  • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, appointments and collateral warranties
  • Supporting and leading transactions across multiple sectors
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development
  • Keeping abreast of legal, market and sector developments

About You

  • 2-8 years’ PQE in non-contentious construction
  • Experience in energy, real estate or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with standard form contracts (e.g. NEC, FIDIC)
  • Scottish or England & Wales qualified
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
