Job Description

A leading Scottish law firm is seeking a talented lawyer to join its highly regarded Regulatory & Compliance team in Edinburgh. Ranked at the top of the UK legal directories, this team advises a diverse range of public and private sector clients, including corporates, regulators, local authorities, and government bodies.

The successful candidate will:

  • Support regulators and clients in regulated sectors on complex, often high-profile matters
  • Draft legal advice and arguments, conducting investigations, liaising with regulators, and representing clients in courts and tribunals
  • Conduct investigations and liaise with regulators
  • Represent clients in courts and tribunals

Key areas of work: 

  • Corporate crime, compliance, and investigations
  • Public law and regulatory issues
  • Health & safety law
  • Anti-bribery and corruption
  • Judicial reviews, statutory appeals, and public inquiries

About you:

  • Qualified solicitor with experience in regulatory, litigation, or public law
  • Strong research, communication, and advocacy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and case management abilities
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a team
