Job Description

A leading Scottish firm is seeking a passionate solicitor to join its well-regarded Rural Property team in Edinburgh.

This is an opportunity to work with a highly experienced team advising a broad client base on complex and interesting rural property matters. While prior rural experience is welcome, it is not essential - candidates with a strong property law background and an interest in rural work are encouraged to apply.

The Role

The role will involve advising on a wide range of matters, including:

  • Sale and purchase of farms, estates and forestry
  • Natural capital and environmental transactions
  • Succession and partnership planning
  • Advising landlords and tenants on agricultural tenancies
  • Supporting renewable energy developments within a rural context

Ideal Candidate: 

  • Qualified solicitor with 3-5 years’ PQE and solid property law experience
  • ???????Strong time management, communication and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and awareness of risk
  • Co???????mfortable working collaboratively while managing their own caseload???????Able to present legal advice clearly and practically to clients
