Job Description

A leading UK law firm is seeking an in-house solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE to join its In-House Legal team. The successful candidate will work on regulatory compliance, contract governance, legal risk, and internal legal support across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Law Society of Scotland, SRA)
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory changes and advising the business accordingly
  • Assisting with internal legal process improvements and risk management
  • Drafting and reviewing policies and procedures
  • Handling quality assurance and internal audit matters
  • Reviewing and negotiating client and supplier contracts
  • Developing expertise in data protection and contributing to training programmes

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong drafting and communication skills
  • Take a pragmatic and commercial approach
  • Communicate confidently with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Be a quick learner with excellent attention to detail
  • Work independently, managing competing priorities and deadlines
