A growing firm in the Highlands is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor (NQ–4 PQE) to join its practice in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad mix of family law matters, working closely with experienced colleagues while building your own profile within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
You’ll work with a diverse client base, handling everything from high-value financial cases to sensitive family matters, with a real focus on providing practical, clear and empathetic advice.

The role
You’ll advise clients across a full spectrum of family law matters, including:
Financial provision on separation and divorce
Child-related matters such as residence, contact and relocation
More complex cases including cross-border disputes, adoption and surrogacy
Supporting cases through the Sheriff Court process
Preparing case documentation, evidence and witness statements
Attending client meetings and court hearings
Contributing to client updates, legal insights and team initiatives
About you
This role would suit a Family Solicitor who:
Has NQ–4 years’ PQE in family law
Enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical guidance
Is organised and able to manage competing deadlines
Communicates clearly and professionally
Works well as part of a close-knit and collaborative team
Is keen to continue developing technical knowledge and expertise
