Family Law Solicitor (2+ years')

Job Description

An established and well-respected Family Law team in Edinburgh is looking to appoint a family solicitor as part of its continued growth.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced and accredited specialists on a broad range of private family matters. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages professional development and progression, while providing exposure to high-quality, client-focused work.

The position would suit a solicitor who enjoys managing their own caseload, working directly with clients and contributing positively to a close-knit team. You will be trusted with responsibility while receiving guidance and mentoring from senior colleagues as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years’ PQE in family law
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload effectively
• A well-organised and proactive approach to work
• The ability to perform well under pressure
• Good research and drafting skills
• Familiarity with SLAB processes (desirable, but not essential)
