The role
As Head of Family Law, you'll set the team's strategic direction while running your own caseload, including:
Divorce, separation and financial settlements
Child arrangements, parental rights and relocation disputes
Cohabitation claims, pre/post-nuptial agreements and civil partnership dissolution
Complex, high-value financial and business asset disputes
Negotiation and mediation, with strong court representation when needed
Leading, mentoring and developing the wider team
Building relationships with professionals, business owners and high net-worth clients
About you
Extensive Scottish family law experience, including complex financial and child law matters
A track record leading or mentoring a team
Clear communicator who avoids unnecessary jargon
Strong in both negotiated settlements and litigation
Discreet, client-focused approach with professionals and HNW individuals
Keen to grow the department's client base and reputation
