Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for employment lawyers to join a growing Employment, Immigration & Pensions team in Edinburgh. With flexibility on hybrid and remote working, these roles offer the chance to advise a diverse client base across both the public and private sectors.

The team acts for a wide range of employers, including government departments, agencies, multinational corporations, and SMEs. The role also involves representing employees, providing valuable insight into matters from both sides of an employment dispute.

The Role
The successful candidates will:

  • Advise on day-to-day employment law and HR matters.
  • Prepare submissions and manage cases before the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal.
  • Draft contracts, policies, handbooks, and settlement agreements.
  • Take and draft witness statements, and conduct legal research.
  • Develop advocacy skills through tribunal representation.
  • Support with TUPE-related matters in business sales and transfers.
  • Assist in delivering training sessions and workshops for clients.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives.

About You

  • NQ-5 years’ PQE (more experienced candidates will also be considered).
  • Strong interest in employment law with a willingness to develop advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload with excellent client care skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality advice.
