Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a highly-regarded Employment Law team in Glasgow. The role offers exposure to a varied caseload, including both Claimant and Respondent Employment Tribunal matters, as well as advisory work on issues such as unfair and constructive dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, and redundancy.
Role Requirements
Experience:
Qualified Scottish Solicitor with up to 3 years’ post-qualification experience in employment law or a solid traineeship background
Experience handling employment disputes, advising both employers and employees
Familiarity with Employment Tribunal proceedings and settlement negotiations
Comfortable supervising or mentoring junior staff
Skills:
Ability to manage your own caseload while working collaboratively within a team
Excellent client-handling and communication skills, both written and verbal
Organised with good time and documentation management
Commercially aware, able to apply practical judgment to legal matters
Competent in legal research and IT applications relevant to employment law
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to complex or challenging cases
