Employment Senior Solicitor (7+ years')

Job Description

A leading international law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Employment Solicitor to join its growing employment practice in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established employment lawyer looking to work on a broad and sophisticated caseload, advising major businesses across a range of sectors and on both UK and international matters.

The Role

You will advise a diverse client base on a broad range of employment matters, including:

• Day-to-day employment and HR advisory work
• Employment aspects of corporate transactions and M&A
• Restructuring and workforce projects
• Senior exits and executive matters
• Investigations and workplace issues
• Outsourcing and wider workforce projects
• International employment projects
• Diversity, equity and inclusion matters

You will work closely with colleagues across the wider employment practice and have the opportunity to contribute to significant multi-jurisdictional projects.

Alongside your technical work, you will play an active role in developing client relationships, business development and thought leadership, as well as supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.

About You

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• Significant post-qualification experience in employment law
• Strong experience advising corporate clients on a broad range of employment matters
• Experience of supporting corporate transactions
• Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills
• The ability to manage matters independently and work with limited supervision
• Experience of working with large or international clients would be advantageous
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
• An interest in business development and contributing to the growth of a practice
