Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced employment solicitor to join a leading team. Based in Edinburgh, you’ll work with a diverse client base on a wide range of employment law matters.

The role focuses primarily on employer-side work, advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters. You’ll manage your own caseload while supporting colleagues on more complex cases.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Advising on day-to-day employment issues, including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, and TUPE matters.
  • Handling the employment aspects of corporate and outsourcing transactions.
  • Representing clients in employment tribunals, including discrimination, whistleblowing, and dismissal claims.
  • Supporting clients with settlement agreements, sickness absence issues, and ACAS early conciliation.
  • Advising on trade union and collective consultation matters.Con
  • tributing to business development and building long-term client relationships.

About you:

  • 4+ years’ PQE in employment law.
  • Strong track record advising and representing clients in employment tribunals.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic, client-focused advice.
