The role
As an Employment Associate in Glasgow, you’ll manage a varied caseload spanning both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, with a strong focus on acting for employers.
Your work will include:
Advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and redundancy
Supporting clients through disciplinary and grievance processes
Handling TUPE and large-scale restructuring projects
Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including advocacy where appropriate
Providing commercially focused HR and workplace advice
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Supporting wider team initiatives and business development activity
About you
This role would suit an Employment Solicitor who:
Has circa 2–6 years’ PQE in employment law
Has experience advising employer clients on a range of workplace issues
Is confident handling Employment Tribunal litigation
Demonstrates excellent drafting skills across pleadings and advisory documents
Can manage their own caseload while contributing to team success
Builds strong, trusted relationships with clients
Has a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Is interested in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
Has good commercial awareness and delivers pragmatic advice
