Corporate Tax Solicitor (2-6years')

Job Description

A leading UK law firm is seeking a senior solicitor to join its Corporate Tax team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with an interest in corporate tax, transactional tax and tax advisory work to develop their career within a highly regarded and collaborative team.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced lawyers and tax specialists, supporting a broad range of corporate, commercial and property-related transactions for a varied client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on the tax aspects of corporate and commercial transactions
• Supporting the tax structuring of acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations
• Assisting with tax considerations in commercial property transactions
• Advising on employee share incentive arrangements
• Drafting and reviewing transactional tax documentation
• Providing general tax advisory support to clients and colleagues
• Contributing to client updates, seminars and knowledge sharing

About You 

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 2+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)
• A genuine interest in corporate or transactional tax work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and drafting ability
• A pragmatic and commercial approach to legal advice
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A collaborative approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team
