Contentious Construction Solicitor (1-5 years')

A leading UK law firm is seeking a solicitor to join its respected Contentious Construction team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside specialists on complex, high-value disputes across Scotland, as well as in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

About the Role:
Working with a mix of private and public sector clients - including developers, contractors, consultants, insurers and funders - you will gain exposure to a wide variety of construction and engineering disputes. These may include court litigation, adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and insurance-related claims.

You will be encouraged to take ownership of your caseload, contribute to strategy, and develop relationships with longstanding and new clients. The team takes pride in offering clear routes for career progression and values proactive input from lawyers at every level.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 1-5 years’ PQE with experience in construction disputes or commercial litigation
• Strong drafting skills and a commercial approach
• Clear communication and the ability to build client relationships
• Confidence working to deadlines on fast-paced matters
• Interest in construction law and dispute resolution
• A team-focused mindset and willingness to support juniors or collaborate on larger cases
