Job Description

A well-established Scottish firm is seeking an experienced senior commercial property lawyer (7+ PQE) to join its Commercial Property team in Edinburgh. The firm is known for its discreet, personal approach and its work with a broad range of private clients, landowners, entrepreneurs, trustees and charitable organisations.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will handle a varied and high-quality commercial property caseload, including:

• Development options and land sales
• Planning agreements
• Sales, purchases and leases of commercial premises
• Retail, office, industrial, hospitality and leisure acquisitions
• Commercial contracts and property-related transactions

This role involves close collaboration with colleagues across property, tax, succession, business services, family, employment and litigation to ensure joined-up, holistic advice.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 7+ years’ PQE with strong technical and practical commercial property experience
• The ability to manage a diverse workload with minimal supervision
• Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset
• A collaborative, thoughtful approach and interest in mentoring others
• The discretion, empathy and relationship-building skills needed to act as a trusted adviser
