Commercial Litigation Solicitor (3+ years')

Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled commercial litigation solicitor to join a leading national disputes team based in Edinburgh.

This role offers the chance to act for major blue-chip, FTSE, and public sector clients on high-value and complex cases across sectors such as energy, technology, financial services, retail, transport, and healthcare.

The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of matters including contractual and corporate disputes, breach of contract, warranty claims, fraud, misrepresentation, and directors’ duties. They will regularly appear before the Court of Session, High Court, and appeal courts, while also advising clients on dispute strategy and resolution.

You’ll join a close-knit, high-performing Scottish team that collaborates closely with colleagues across the UK. This role offers a balance of local autonomy and national exposure, with genuine client contact, opportunities to contribute to business development, and support from some of the country’s most respected litigators.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years’ PQE in commercial litigation, with strong drafting and advocacy skills
• Scottish qualification (dual qualification in England & Wales advantageous)
• Confidence managing cases independently and as part of a team
• A commercial, client-focused approach and enthusiasm for team growth
