Commercial IP/IT Solicitor (3-7 years')

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading Scottish Tech & Media team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, offering exposure to cutting-edge commercial, IP, IT, and data protection work.

The Role

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including outsourcing, SaaS, licensing, collaboration, and supply contracts.
• Advise on IT projects, software development, and data protection compliance.
• Support clients on IP-related matters, including protection, licensing, and technology transfer.
• Work with colleagues on national and international projects, gaining exposure to significant transactions and high-profile clients.
• Build client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

About You

• 3-7 years' PQE with experience in commercial contracts; IP/IT/data protection experience is an advantage.
• Excellent drafting skills and ability to deliver practical, commercial advice.
• Confident managing your own caseload and supporting on larger, complex deals.
• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working directly with clients.
