Corporate & Commercial Associate / Senior Associate | 6+ Years’ PQE

If you’re a corporate lawyer with six years’ PQE or more and enjoy working on complex, high-value transactions, this is an opportunity to join a busy Corporate & Commercial team advising on some genuinely interesting deals. Based in Glasgow, the role offers exposure to a broad mix of M&A, private equity and investment work, acting for clients ranging from fast-growth businesses to established national and international organisations.

This position would suit an Associate or Senior Associate looking for challenging work, visible client relationships and a platform to continue developing both technically and commercially.

The role

As part of the Corporate & Commercial team, you’ll advise on a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganisations and ongoing corporate advisory matters. You’ll draft and negotiate key documentation such as shareholder agreements, investment agreements and commercial contracts, while also advising on corporate governance, directors’ duties and shareholder issues.

You’ll work closely with clients, managing expectations and guiding them through often complex transactions, while collaborating with colleagues across other practice areas to deliver joined-up legal advice. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to business development activity and to support and mentor more junior lawyers within the team.

About you

This role would suit a Corporate & Commercial Associate / Senior Associate who:

Has 6+ years’ PQE in corporate and commercial law
Has solid experience in M&A, private equity, investments and corporate advisory work
Is comfortable handling complex matters and leading client instructions
Communicates clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues
Is commercially minded with a solutions-focused approach
Enjoys supporting junior team members and contributing to team growth
