Traineeship - June 2026

Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a trainee to join Fielding McLean & Co solicitors commencing in summer 2026.

Fielding McLean & Co is an established high street 2 Partner firm based in the west end of Glasgow.

The role will involve particular focus on residential conveyancing, commercial conveyancing, and private client work with no court work. The candidate will be working alongside Partners and experienced administrative staff.

Applicants should have:

1. a genuine interest in these areas of practice and be able to show evidence of this;
2. excellent communication and written skills with a degree in Scots Law and completed a Diploma in Legal Practice; 
3. an ability to confidently dealwith the public as the role will involve a high degree of client contact; 
4. display an eagerness to learn and experience life in a high street law firm; 
5. enjoy working as part of a small team within a fast paced legal environment and 
6. during the course of the traineeship develop their own contribution to the work of the firm.
