The vacancy

We are looking for an exceptional Trainee Solicitor to join our legal team, based at the Firm’s Glasgow HQ. This is a specialist traineeship with an exclusive focus on employment law. 

The two-year traineeship, commencing September 2026, delivered under the auspices of the Law Society of Scotland, will cover all aspects of UK employment law in a supportive, forward-thinking, environment with a keen focus on employee development.

The traineeship will include supporting our solicitors within the legal team; drafting contracts of employment and employment-related documentation; preparing guidance for clients; researching; promoting the interests of the Firm; and, in time, client-facing work, all under the supervision of an experienced Training Supervisor and a supportive team of solicitors. 

What are we looking for? 

The candidate must demonstrate a keen interest in employment law and a desire to specialise in this area. 

An excellent academic track record of achievement, including LL.B degree and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice; first class communication skills; and an eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced professional environment are all essentials for the role. 

You should also work well as part of a team, have excellent attention to detail and time management skills and, above all, come with a ‘can do’ attitude.
