Trainee Solicitor

Job Description

Bilkus and Boyle is a firm based in the south side of Glasgow that provides representation to clients across a broad range of areas. We are now hiring a trainee to join our civil and criminal court department. The successful candidate will gain excellent experience in criminal court work, matrimonial and children's cases, together with Adults with Incapacity work.

Trainees will be expected to be able to handle their own supervised workload and also provide a degree of administrative support to the firm's partners.

Essential Criteria

• Ability to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of civil court practice
• Ability to organise and manage personal workload 
• Ability to work to deadlines and understand how to deal with competing priorities
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to demonstate knowledge and interest in how the legal aid system works
