Job Description

Curle Stewart Limited, a dynamic boutique corporate and commercial law firm located in the city centre of Glasgow, is excited to announce an opening for a trainee solicitor commencing immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity available outside of our normal trainee recruitment timetable due to increased workload.

The candidate must already hold their LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice (candidates who have just commenced their DipLP for graduation in 2026 should not apply) and should be able to demonstrate a special interest in corporate law and/or commercial litigation. The training is likely to be fixed in one of those seats for the two year period of training rather than rotating through different departments.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who possesses an engaging personality and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • creative problem-solving awareness;
  • attention to detail;
  • time management;
  • strong commercial/business awareness; and
  • a track record of academic excellence;

Curle Stewart provides a fast-paced, challenging, yet supportive environment that stimulates professional growth and development. Trainees at our firm benefit from:

  • immediate access to high-quality work;
  • direct client interactions from the start;
  • a varied and interesting work load; and
  • excellent career advancement opportunities within a growing team.

If you are interested in shaping your future with Curle Stewart, please send your CV to Honor McKenna at hm@curlestewart.co.uk. Your application should include:

  • your school educational qualifications from National 5/Higher/Advanced Higher results;
  • your degree qualifications;
  • your personal interests and hobbies;
  • employment history;
  • any notable achievements/leadership experience.

We look forward to hearing from you and discovering how you can contribute to team CS!
