About the Role

As a Trainee in our Employment Team, you will support solicitors in advising clients on a broad range of employment matters and contribute to the effective progression of work within the team. You will gain valuable practical experience and develop a strong understanding of employment law and legal processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with client consultations, gathering evidence, and drafting legal documents.
• Conducting legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Liaising with clients and third parties to progress claims efficiently.
• Attending court hearings and case reviews alongside senior solicitors.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual with a genuine enthusiasm for the legal profession and a strong interest in employment law. 

Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage their time effectively, and confidence working in a fast-paced environment. A high level of attention to detail, a proactive approach to solving problems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service are essential.  

Applicants must either be available to begin their traineeship immediately or be working towards completion of their Diploma in 2026. Individuals who are currently completing their Diploma will be expected to work part time until completion, followed by a period as a legal intern (full time), before commencing their traineeship on 1st September 2026.

Applicants must have achieved a minimum of five Highers and hold a 2:1 degree or higher.
