We are pleased to be exclusively instructed on a new opportunity with a specialist family Law Firm based in Edinburgh.

Job Description

The firm focuses on child, family, and incapacity law, including areas such as divorce, custody, guardianship, and powers of attorney. A vacancy has arisen for a Family Lawyer to join the team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Reporting directly to a senior partner, the successful candidate will become part of a close-knit team. The role involves providing legal advice across a broad spectrum of family and child law matters, with opportunities to work on legal aid cases, guardianships, and potentially matters relating to mental health and incapacity law. Participation in children’s panel work is also encouraged.

Interested applicants should be qualified Scottish Lawyers, ideally at the 1–3 years’ PQE level, although newly qualified and more experienced candidates will also be considered.

While prior family law experience is preferred, those with a background in litigation and a strong interest in the field are welcome to apply.

The position offers hybrid working, court exposure, and a supportive environment. If this position could be of interest to you, please do not hesitate to contact either Steph or Jade for an initial and confidential discussion. (Assignment 16501)
