Job Description

 

Are you a Solicitor with up to 4 years PQE who’s ready for a new opportunity?

As our business continues to grow, we are delighted to offer an opportunity for Solicitor’s to join our Edinburgh office. We are looking for ambitious and motivated individuals to play a key role in our expansion and service delivery to our clients.

In your role, you will manage a varied and engaging caseload of PI/EL and RTA cases, playing a key role in delivering outstanding results for your clients. 

We put our people first and offer a base salary of up to £50,000 dependent on experience, along with eligibility for a bonus. You will also receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as an additional day off to celebrate your birthday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of road traffic, employer liability, and public liability claims.
  • Gathering and preparing key evidence to ensure strong case progression.
  • Advising clients and delivering a high standard of client care.
  • Ensuring effective case progression and securing the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members, supporting their development (depending on your level of experience).
  • Drafting legal documents and advising clients on their claims.
  • Maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and internal policies.
  • Contributing to the team’s overall success by working collaboratively.

 

Skills and Experience

  • NQ to 4 years PQE.
  • Strong litigation knowledge with an understanding of Court of Session and Sheriff Court procedures.
  • Excellent drafting and case management skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong client-handling abilities.
  • Commercially minded with a problem-solving approach.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach.

Working Hours

Working 35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically between 9am - 5pm. After successfully completing your probationary period, you will benefit from a hybrid working model — typically spending three days in the office and two days working from your home.
