Stirling | Excellent Progression | Established & Highly Regarded Firm

Job Description

Oculus Legal Group is delighted to be supporting a highly reputable and long-established law firm in Stirling on an exclusive basis with the appointment of a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Scottish Qualified Solicitor looking to develop their career within a well-established practice with a strong and loyal client base across Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire.

The firm is ideally looking for someone with experience across Private Client and Residential Conveyancing, although consideration will be given to candidates whose experience is weighted more heavily towards either discipline and who are keen to develop a broader practice.

Importantly, this is not simply an opportunity to join an established team. The firm has robust succession planning in place, providing genuine scope for progression to a more senior position over the longer term for the right individual.

Why Join?

  • Highly respected local firm – Join a long-established practice with an excellent reputation and deep-rooted relationships across Stirling, Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire.
  • Genuine career progression – Clear scope to progress towards a Senior Solicitor and potentially more senior responsibilities as part of the firm's long-term succession planning.
  • Varied client work – Opportunity to undertake a combination of Private Client and Residential Property work, working with an established and loyal client base.
  • Established platform for growth – Benefit from the firm's existing reputation, strong client relationships and continued commitment to developing its practice.
  • Collaborative environment – Work alongside experienced practitioners within a supportive and professional team.
  • Competitive package – Attractive remuneration and benefits package reflective of experience and seniority.

The Role

Depending on your experience, the role will involve a combination of Private Client and Residential Property matters, with the opportunity to develop a broad and rewarding caseload.

Private Client work may include advising individuals and families on areas such as wills, executries, PoA, succession planning and related matters.

On the Residential Property side, you will manage a varied caseload of transactions, including:

  • Residential sales and purchases
  • Re-mortgages
  • Transfers of title
  • Property-related advice
  • Advising private clients throughout the transaction process
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on the firm's existing client base while developing their own profile and relationships within the local market.

About You

The firm is keen to speak with Scottish Qualified Solicitors at Solicitor or Senior Solicitor level who have experience in either or both of Private Client and Residential Conveyancing.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in Private Client and/or Residential Property
  • Strong technical and client management skills
  • The ability to manage your own caseload with a high degree of autonomy
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine interest in developing your career within a well-established regional practice
  • An ambition to progress and take on greater responsibility over time

The firm would also be open to considering someone with a strong background in one of the two areas who is interested in developing their expertise across the other.
