An exciting opportunity has arisen at a leading Scottish law firm for a solicitor (2–6 years PQE) to join its dynamic rural property team in Edinburgh, with a particular focus on renewable energy projects.

Job Description

The team is known for its collaborative approach, sector expertise, and commitment to professional development.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional rural law and the fast-evolving clean energy sector.

The successful candidate will advise a diverse client base—including landowners, developers, and investors—on matters such as land transactions, energy project leases, grid connections, and rural diversification. The role offers exposure to high-quality work and the chance to contribute meaningfully to Scotland’s energy transition.

Applicants with experience in rural, commercial property, or energy law are encouraged to apply, especially those looking to transition into renewables.

The firm offers a supportive and inclusive working environment, with a strong reputation in the rural sector and a commitment to equality and diversity in line with national standards.
