The role involves advising on complex data privacy matters for clients across sectors, including GDPR compliance, privacy impact assessments, subject access requests, data transfers, and digital regulatory change such as AI governance and online safety frameworks.
You will work closely with both the transactional and contentious data privacy teams across the firm’s global network, including input on contractual and commercial matters (e.g. IT contracts, data sharing, online terms) and support during regulatory investigations. The role includes supervising juniors, contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives, and acting as a subject matter expert across wider firm mandates.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ PQE and strong experience in UK/EU data protection law, including GDPR, UK-specific regulatory guidance, and international transfer frameworks. Familiarity with AI regulation, in-house secondments, or frontline tech environments would be advantageous.
