The team advises a wide-ranging client base, from residential developers and housing associations to landowners and care providers.
This senior-level role offers the opportunity to work on high-value, complex transactions, particularly within the residential development sector, contributing to the delivery of much-needed housing across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a wide range of complex and high-value commercial real estate transactions.
Lead acquisition and disposal work for private and public-sector clients, covering greenfield and brownfield developments, golden brick structures, and turnkey housing projects.
Support strategic land transactions in collaboration with planning, construction, and energy specialists.
Draft Deeds of Conditions and DMS documentation for new developments.
Negotiate Promotion Agreements, Option Agreements and Joint Venture Agreements.
Provide property-related due diligence support for corporate transactions.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior team members.
The role requires strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, along with a commercial, solutions-driven approach. Candidates should be capable of managing a varied caseload both independently and collaboratively while delivering high-quality client service. Strong time-management skills, risk awareness, and a solid grounding in Scottish property law are essential. Experience handling transactions from start to finish is expected, with additional expertise in development, investment, asset management, or corporate real estate support.
