Summary of Role

Our client is actively seeking a Senior Associates/Legal Directors to join their leading employment law teams, based either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The team assist clients on a very wide range of employment law issues both contentious and non-contentious.

Our clients work with some of the best-known employers across Scotland as well as a significant number of senior executives.

They are seeking possibly two talented employment lawyers, one to advise on a broad range of employment law issues (both contentious and non-contentious) and the other to focus on TUPE and corporate support work. There is some flexibility as to the exact role(s) depending on skill set and areas of interest.

Key Tasks:

Manage your caseload competently, professionally efficiently and cost effectively, with minimum supervision, to achieve client and firm objectives.
Advise clients on rights and remedies on all employment law issues (contentious and non-contentious).
Represent both employer and employee clients before employment tribunals.
Provide practical commercial based advice, often within very tight timescales.
Maximise business development opportunities from existing and potential clients and support divisional marketing initiatives including participation in client seminars and using existing contacts to cross-sell.
Contribute constructively to the success of the Employment Law Team.
Contribute to organising and delivering technical training as required within the team and wider division.
Keep abreast of case law and legislative changes within employment law.

Qualifications and Experience :

At least 6 years PQE in employment law.
