This international law firm is recruiting a Senior Associate to join its growing Cyber Practice team in Glasgow.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor with cyber, technology, data protection, or commercial litigation experience to work on high-profile and complex cyber risk matters, advising clients through all stages of cyber incident response and recovery. The role offers exposure to multi-jurisdictional matters, cutting-edge technology issues, and a rapidly expanding area of legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising corporate clients, insurers, and insureds on a broad range of cyber risk, data protection, and incident response matters.
  • Managing cyber security incidents, including coordinating response teams and liaising with forensic experts, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Handling disputes arising from cyber incidents, data breaches, and technology-related matters, including regulatory investigations and group litigation.
  • Advising on GDPR and wider data protection issues, particularly in relation to international and cross-border incidents.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to thought leadership within the cyber sector.

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE and strong litigation experience, ideally with exposure to cyber, technology, media, data protection, or regulatory matters. Previous experience handling cyber breach response work would be advantageous. Candidates should possess excellent technical and drafting skills, be capable of managing a varied caseload, and demonstrate a genuine interest in technology, cyber security, and emerging legal risks.

You will be joining a highly regarded and collaborative team that advises on some of the most significant cyber incidents and data breaches globally. The role offers high-quality international work, exposure to market-leading clients and experts, excellent career progression opportunities, and the chance to develop a strong profile within one of the fastest-growing areas of legal practice.
